Fitzroy River Water is recruiting multiple Plant Operator/Labourers to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you'll operate a range of plant and equipment while contributing to the construction, maintenance and operation of vital water and sewerage networks across the region.
If you're experienced in operating Skid Steers, Excavators and Backhoes, this is your chance to be part of a skilled crew delivering essential services that make a real difference every day.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What you’ll do
- Operate trucks and plant such as excavators, backhoes and skid steers
- Carry out civil construction tasks including pipe laying and basic concreting
- Maintain and repair water and sewer infrastructure, including hydrants, valves and mains
- Perform basic servicing of equipment and report defects or safety issues
- Work safely using hand tools while supporting a multi-skilled team
What we are looking for
- Strong labouring background
- MR Licence and ability to legally operate an excavator, backhoe and skid steer
- Safety focused and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite
