Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Rigger for an upcoming FIFO shutdown project at Kens Bore, Western Australia. The project includes the replacement of buckets and the centre chute, requiring safe and efficient lifting and rigging support.

The successful candidate will have appropriate advanced rigging competencies and experience working on mining, oil and gas, or heavy industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out advanced rigging activities in accordance with approved lift plans and site procedures.
- Select and inspect lifting gear, slings, shackles and associated rigging equipment.
- Assist with the lifting, positioning and removal of heavy mechanical components.
- Support mechanical fitters and boilermakers during equipment replacement activities.
- Interpret rigging requirements and lifting documentation.




- Conduct pre-use inspections and identify damaged or unsuitable equipment.
- Establish exclusion zones and maintain safe lifting areas.
- Follow site-specific safety procedures, SWMS/JHAs and permit requirements.
- Communicate effectively with crane operators, supervisors and the shutdown team.

Requirements

- Relevant Australian-recognised Advanced Rigging qualification/licence.
- Demonstrated experience in heavy industrial, mining or oil and gas environments.
- Experience supporting shutdowns and heavy equipment replacement preferred.
- Solid understanding of lifting safety and rigging procedures.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts.

Pay: $65.00 – $80.00 per hour
