Registered Nurse – Part time

Part-time | Minimum 2 days per week | No weekends

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in our General Practice.

This is an on-site, part-time position for a Registered Nurse who is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and compassionate environment. You will work collaboratively with our team of doctors and practice staff within our fully equipped treatment room.

About the role

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a range of clinical services, including:

- Triage and first aid assistance, including emergency procedures
- Acute assessment of patients
- Administration of COVID-19 and other child and adult vaccinations
- Medication and injection administration
- Patient recalls
- ECGs
- Suture removal
- Preparation for and assistance with minor surgical procedures
- Wound management
- Removal of plaster and synthetic casts
- Care plans
- Urinalysis and urine pregnancy testing
- Spirometry
- Stock ordering, including vaccines and medical supplies/equipment
- Cold chain management and monitoring
- Participation in practice accreditation activities
- Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical documentation

Essential qualifications and experience

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)




- Experience in a similar medical or general practice setting preferred by not essential
- Experience administering medications, injections and vaccinations
- Strong clinical and patient-care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Computer literacy relevant to the role

Desirable

- Previous experience in General Practice
- Familiarity with Best Practice or other medical practice software
