We're welcoming expressions of interest from provisional psychologists and applicants approaching eligibility for provisional registration who want to build their clinical skills in a paid role.

At Meyer Institute, we provide therapy, psychological assessments and reports for children, adolescents and adults. We value curiosity, thoughtful questions and the willingness to put feedback into practice. We'd like to hear about the experience you already have and what you hope to learn next.

The work

We'll discuss a role that fits your registration pathway, experience and learning needs. In the role, you may:

Provide supervised psychological support within your agreed scope and level of competence.

Assist with assessment interviews, administration, scoring and reports where training and supervision support the work.

Prepare for supervision, bring clinical questions and follow through on agreed learning tasks.

Maintain clear records and complete clinical administration carefully.

Communicate respectfully with clients and colleagues, and seek help early when you need it.

Clinical responsibility will develop as you demonstrate the relevant skills and meet your pathway requirements.

What we would like you to bring

Provisional registration, or a transparent explanation of your eligibility and expected registration date.

The qualifications and training pathway relevant to the role you are seeking.

Good written communication, organisation and a reliable approach to agreed tasks.





Openness to feedback and an understanding of when to seek supervision.

A private workspace and suitable technology if telehealth is part of your agreed role.

Supervision and working arrangements

Please tell us which pathway you're following, any existing supervisor arrangements and what the role needs to satisfy. Before we confirm an offer, we'll agree:

The supervisor, supervision schedule and any required program or Board approvals.

Your learning objectives, duties and limits of responsibility.

Hours, remuneration, supervision costs and each party’s responsibilities.

Melbourne in-person and hybrid opportunities will depend on supervision and room availability. Australia-based telehealth may be considered where it suits your pathway, supervision and client work. These enquiries are for paid work, with the final arrangement agreed individually.
