About the roleLeading a team of seven, you will oversee the QBCC's Right to Information and Privacy functions while driving timely, lawful and customer-focused outcomes. You will manage priorities, workloads, resources and statutory timeframes, helping the team maintain service standards and address case backlogs.You will also provide expert guidance across the QBCC on Right to Information, privacy, disclosure, confidentiality, administrative access, data breaches and responsible information handling. With the scope to take ownership and evolve the function, you will help embed stronger privacy practices and deliver practical improvements to policies, processes, reporting, quality assurance and education.In this role, you will:lead, coach and develop the Right to Information and Privacy team membersprovide trusted advice on complex legislative and information-handling mattersstrengthen policies, procedures, reporting and quality assuranceidentify trends, risks and opportunities for continuous improvementadminister the QBCC's administrative access policy and help embed the privacy management framework by addressing recommendations from the privacy maturity assessmentliaise with the regulator and participate in mediation to enhance your learningprovide weekly RTI statistics to the department and oversee case management data in preparation of the annual statistical reporting for the Commissionerbuild productive relationships with internal business areas, applicants, complainants, customers and other agenciesThis position is based in Brisbane.
