Georges Hall
Speed Coach (Casual, ongoing) at Ambition Sports Performance, Sydney. Suits someone whose day job finishes by 3:30pm. Sessions start at 4pm on weekdays, plus weekend mornings. This is a long-term role.
We coach over 200 athletes, mostly 13 to 17 year old NPL, academy and rep footballers, plus senior and pro players. Every session is timed through gates, every run is filmed at 240 fps, and every athlete has a plan built from their own numbers. We're growing and need another coach on the floor.
The role:
- Run small-group speed sessions (6 to 7 athletes) at Georges Hall, Roselands and Homebush
- Weekdays from 4pm and weekend mornings, on a regular weekly schedule
- 9 to 15 hours a week to start, up to 31 hours as you grow
- Coach acceleration, top speed, change of direction and plyometrics using our method (we train you in it)
- A$60 per session, casual
- We want someone to grow with us for years, not a season
You'll need:
- An NSW Working With Children Check (or to apply straight away)
- Current first aid and CPR
- A sprint, sporting, athletics or field-sport background
- An eye for what's wrong, correction
- To be reliable, on time, and valuable with teenagers and their parents
Nice to have:
- Exercise science study
- Athletics Australia or ASCA coaching accreditation
- Experience with timing gates or video analysis
How it works: a paid trial session, then two weeks shadowing our head coach before you take your own group.
Pay: $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9.0 – 15.0 per week
Application Question(s):
- What time does your day job finish, and can you be at Georges Hall, Roselands or Homebush by 4pm?
- Which suburb do you live in?
- How long have you lived in Sydney?
- Which weekday evenings and weekend mornings can you commit to every week?
- What's your sprint, athletics or football background?
