Your Impact
As a valued member of the Early Appropriate Guilty Plea Scheme team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality paralegal, administrative and client support, helping coordinate legal matters and keep daily operations running smoothly. - Manage reception, communications, document management and office operations, liaising with courts, legal professionals, government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients through culturally respectful engagement,

appropriate referrals and collaborative service delivery that strengthens access to justice.
- Maintain confidentiality, uphold ALS values and comply with organisational policies, qualified standards, workplace health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
- Maintain professional knowledge and skills through mandatory training and ongoing development, contributing to continuous improvement of administrative systems and practices.

Your Story & Strengths
You are a skilled and motivated Paralegal who brings strong organisational, administrative and legal support skills, alongside a deep respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities and lived experiences. - Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex paralegal and administrative support, with formal paralegal qualifications or currently undertaking a Law Degree.
- Knowledge of legal support and referral services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, with the ability to assist with legal research and Community Legal Education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including preparing legal correspondence, briefs of evidence, subpoenas, affidavits and court reports, with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- Strong organisational, time management, problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently, collaboratively and confidentially under limited supervision.

- Knowledge and appreciation of Aboriginal cultural and social needs, with a commitment to culturally safe practice and ongoing respect for Aboriginal cultural practices.
