Formwork Carpenter

At NEWROCX ENGINEERING PTY LTD, we are looking for a skilled Formwork Carpenter to work on a full time basis (38-40 hours per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine formwork requirements, dimensions and construction methods.

· Measure, mark and set out work areas accurately in accordance with approved plans, levels and site requirements.

· Construct, assemble and install timber, plywood and modular formwork for concrete structures, including walls, columns, beams, footings and slabs.

· Measure, cut and prepare timber, plywood and other materials using appropriate hand and power tools to meet required dimensions.

· Install and secure formwork components, including braces, props, supports and ties, to maintain stability and correct positioning during concrete placement.

· Inspect and check completed formwork for alignment, dimensions, levels, plumbness and structural stability before concrete is poured, making adjustments where necessary.

· Dismantle and remove formwork after concrete has cured sufficiently, while protecting completed concrete structures and preparing reusable materials for subsequent work.

· Work safely with supervisors, engineers,



concreters and other construction personnel while following workplace health and safety procedures, site requirements and project schedules.

Requirements:

· Relevant qualification or at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a formal qualification.

· At least 1 year of experience

· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering plans, technical specifications and site documentation accurately.

· Sound knowledge of formwork construction methods, carpentry techniques, materials, hand and power tools, and the installation of formwork for concrete structures.

· Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, including safe use of tools and equipment, manual handling, working at heights and maintaining a safe construction site.

Position: Full Time

Salary: $75,000 - $150,000
