- Supervise and support bartenders and front-of-house staff during service.
- Lead by example and ensure the team remains productive and focused.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beers, wines and other beverages to a high standard.
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Coordinate staff duties and ensure all team members understand their responsibilities.
- Monitor bar stock, complete stock checks and assist with ordering supplies.
- Ensure responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and compliance with relevant Queensland liquor laws.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards across the bar and service areas.
- Oversee bar opening and closing procedures, cash handling and end-of-shift duties.
- Minimise wastage and maintain appropriate stock control.
- Train and mentor new team members.
- Communicate effectively with management and report operational issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive, professional and respectful working environment.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a bartender, with supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
- Robust knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer,
wine and beverage service.
- Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Excellent communication, customer service and leadership skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to identify problems and find practical solutions.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
