The Prospect:

An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Associate – Data Centres role at RLB. This role aims to support and a highly specialised sector team within a globally respected construction and property consultancy.

This is a role for a professional who combines deep technical expertise in cost management and quantity surveying with an ability to share and develop the knowledge of others. The role would be suited to someone who is keen to develop their client relationship building skills.

About You:

You are an accomplished quantity surveyor with a strong reputation in the data centre area, known for your technical credibility and ability to deliver high quality outcomes within specified deadlines.





You will bring:

- 5 + years’ experience in cost management / quantity surveying, including at least 2 years in data centres
- Extensive knowledge of building services–heavy projects and direct procurement items
- Proven experience delivering services across the full project lifecycle (pre‑ and post‑contract)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
- Strong ability to mentor and provide direction to others
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to the delivery of work

- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining benchmarking databases
- Proven experience delivering services across the full project lifecycle (pre‑ and post‑contract)
- An interested in building your capability in business development
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple teams & with different clients
- A keen eye for detail and data accuracy
- Professional discretion and sound judgement
- Ability to mentor & share knowledge with less experienced employees

- Establishing and maintaining benchmarking for the data centre sector
- Awareness of regulations, standards, tools and the like as applicable to the sector
- Assist with QA of cost plans and technical outputs
- Assist the marketing and submissions team with completing project profiles – Identify exemplar cost plans
