CBC Facilities Maintenance Pty Ltd have a great opportunity for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Illawarra region.
The Grounds Maintenance Technician role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality, well-presented outdoor spaces across multiple client sites.
About the Role:
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas.
- Perform planting, pruning, and weeding tasks to enhance the appearance of landscapes.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Support the installation of new plants, trees, and landscaping features.
- Monitor and report on the health of plants and grounds, identifying any issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of work.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
About You:
- Energetic, proactive and a team player
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or gardening is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and landscaping practices.
- Ability to operate gardening tools and machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work including WHS.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- WHS/OHS Induction Card
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Horticulture Licence (desirable)
- MR Licence (desirable)
