We are seeking caring and reliable Disability Support Workers in Port Douglas for a short-term assignment. You will provide personal care and mobility assistance while supporting the participant’s safety, dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with showering, dressing and morning routines.
- Provide secure mobility support using a walker or wheelchair.
- Follow safe manual handling practices and falls prevention strategies.
- Deliver respectful, person-centred care in line with the participant’s support plan.
- Report any concerns or changes in support needs to the team.

About You

- Experience providing personal care and mobility support.
- Knowledge of safe manual handling and falls prevention.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful approach.
- Available for morning shifts during 7–13 October 2026.
- Able to attend shifts in Port Douglas reliably.
- Experience supporting people with acquired brain injury is desirable.

Pay: $34.00 – $40.00 per hour
