Do you love dance, people and making a difference?
We believe dance is about more than just technique. It’s about confidence, connection, creativity, inclusion and helping every individual discover what they’re capable of.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, confident and open-minded Dance Teacher / Dance Coach to join our Bathurst studio. We want someone who brings positive energy, has a genuine passion for working with people, and isn’t afraid to be themselves.
You might be an emerging teacher looking to develop your skills, a dancer ready to take the next step, or an experienced coach who wants to be part of a supportive and progressive studio. What matters most is your attitude, your willingness to learn, your commitment to safe dance practice and your ability to connect with students from all walks of life.
About the role
You’ll work alongside our Head Coach to deliver quality dance training, support student development and help create a studio culture where everyone belongs.
You will:
- Teach and coach dance students at our Bathurst studio.
- Support students to develop their technique, artistry, musicality, confidence and love of dance.
- Create a safe, encouraging and inclusive learning environment for students of different ages, abilities, personalities and backgrounds.
- Welcome and support students with additional needs, adapting your communication and teaching approach to help them participate, learn and feel included.
- Champion inclusion, diversity, respect and individuality in everything you do.
- Build positive, professional relationships with students, parents and fellow teachers.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of safe dance practice, injury prevention and age-appropriate training.
- Pay attention to the details that make great teaching, from technical corrections to artistic expression.
- Be willing to shadow our Head Coach, learn our syllabus and complete relevant educational training modules.
- Communicate confidently, kindly and clearly,
including when setting boundaries, managing behaviour and speaking with parents.
- Contribute to a positive studio environment where students are encouraged to be themselves and feel proud of who they are.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Confident and authentic. You’re comfortable being yourself, expressing your personality and connecting with people from all walks of life.
- Inclusive by nature. You respect diversity and actively help create an environment where every student feels seen, welcomed and valued.
- Open-minded and adaptable. You’re willing to learn about different needs, abilities and learning styles, and adjust your teaching to support individual students.
- Warm but confident. You can build rapport and have fun while maintaining appropriate boundaries, clear expectations and a professional approach.
- Passionate about dance. You care about both strong technical foundations and artistic development.
- Safety-focused. You understand the importance of safe dance practice, injury prevention and student wellbeing.
- A strong communicator. You can confidently speak with children, teenagers, adults and parents, including during challenging conversations.
- Keen to grow. You take feedback positively, ask questions and are excited to keep developing as a teacher.
- Reliable and dedicated. You show up prepared, bring positive energy and understand the responsibility that comes with teaching.
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We value someone who is eager to learn, willing to put in the work and genuinely cares about the people they teach.

- Willingness to shadow the Head Coach and complete training & professional development modules.
