Merrylands

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME/CASUAL QUALIFIED VETERINARY NURSE

Love nursing? Thrive in a supportive team? We'd love to meet you!

Merrylands Vet is looking for a passionate Qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on a full-time/part-time/casual basis.

Ideally, we're looking for someone who is available to work Monday - Friday, with a possible rotating Saturday roster.

At Merrylands Vet, we are proudly independently owned, allowing us to focus on what matters most—our patients, our clients and our team. We pride ourselves on providing high standards of clinical care while creating a welcoming, compassionate experience for every client who walks through our doors. We believe a positive workplace makes all the difference, so we foster a culture that is supportive, encouraging and values the unique strengths and interests of every team member.

Conveniently located in Western Sydney, we're just 1 minute from Merrylands Train Station and close to the M4. Stockland Merrylands is right nearby, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and supermarkets for those much-needed lunch breaks!

One of the things our team loves most about working here is our supportive environment. You'll be working alongside experienced veterinarians and an amazing nursing team where collaboration, learning and having each other's backs is simply part of everyday life.

What you'll be doing:

- Providing exceptional nursing care to our hospital and surgical patients.
- Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with a variety of surgical procedures.
- Assisting veterinarians during consultations and procedures.

- Delivering compassionate client care and clear communication to pet owners.
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and effective hospital environment.
- Working closely with our vets and nurses to ensure the best outcomes for every patient.

What we're looking for:

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- 2+ years' experience in a small animal veterinary clinic is ideal, but we're very open to applicants with less experience who bring enthusiasm, reliability and a great attitude.
- Confidence with anaesthesia monitoring, surgical nursing and inpatient care (or a willingness to further develop these skills).
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
- A positive, adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a supportive, team-focused clinic.

Why join Merrylands Vet?

- Friendly, experienced and supportive team where you'll be genuinely valued.
- Opportunities to continue learning and develop your nursing skills.
- Flexible part-time roster to support a healthy work-life balance.
- We offer an above-award salary, with remuneration tailored to your experience, qualifications and the skills you bring to our team.
- A clinic where your ideas are valued and your hard work is appreciated.

If you're looking for your next nursing role where you can make a real difference, build lasting client relationships and enjoy coming to work each day, we'd love to hear from you!

Apply today by sending your resume and cover letter to [email protected], att: Tiana or contact our team on (02) 9682 1547

We can't wait to meet you!
