UGL is delivering the Rail Integration Systems (RIS) Package for Cross River Rail, integrating new infrastructure and systems into a live operational railway. With complex interfaces, staged commissioning activities, and critical possession windows, this role will play a key part in coordinating successful project delivery.

About the role

The Supervisor will provide frontline supervision and coordination of activities undertaken within the Cross River Rail tunnels, ensuring works are safely planned, authorised and executed. The role will support Principal Contractor implementation, workforce and subcontractor management, tunnel access, permits and isolations, high-risk activities, emergency readiness, testing and commissioning and the progressive handover of tunnel and station areas into Unity Alliance control.

Key responsibilities

- Provide direct field supervision of activities within the tunnels and associated work areas. And supervise work activities
- Coordinate daily work activities, workforce requirements and work front priorities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Principal Contractor arrangements, including implementing the physical requirements associated with PC control of the tunnel.
- Monitor workforce performance, productivity, safety and compliance.
- The Supervisor will work closely with the Electrical SME, Mechanical SME, Safety Advisor and authorised permit personnel to confirm required permits are in place before work commences.
- Coordinating access for contractors returning to complete defects or outstanding activities.




- Supporting progressive handover of stations and tunnel areas into Unity Alliance control.

About You

- Experience Supervising construction, rail, tunnel, infrastructure or major projects works.
- Robust understanding of high-risk construction activities
- Experience working in operational, commissioning, testing or rail environments.
