We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a Queensland Government department with the implementation of Keeper Privileged Access Management (PAM).
Working closely with technical specialists, security teams and operational stakeholders, you will be responsible for analysing current-state privileged access processes, defining future-state requirements and supporting the successful implementation and operational transition of the solution.
This is a hands-on technical business analysis role with some project coordination responsibilities, requiring someone who can work independently, engage confidently with technical stakeholders and translate complex infrastructure and security requirements into explicit, practical documentation.
The initial contract runs through to 30 April 2027, based in Brisbane CBD, with a requirement to work onsite at least three days per week.
Key responsibilities
- Lead current-state analysis of privileged access processes, including authentication, credential management, approvals, RDP, SSH and break-glass access.
- Facilitate workshops with technical teams and operational stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
- Develop future-state process maps, functional and technical requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout solution design, implementation, testing and operational handover.
- Work closely with infrastructure, identity, cyber security and operational teams to identify gaps and define appropriate solutions.
- Support testing activities, including test scenarios, validation, defect tracking and acceptance criteria.
- Assist with project coordination, including schedules, RAID registers, dependencies, actions and decision tracking.
- Support operational readiness, knowledge transfer, documentation and transition into business-as-usual operations.
Highly desirable criteria
- Minimum 7 years' experience as a Technical Business Analyst within large, complex ICT environments.
- Strong experience delivering business analysis across infrastructure, identity management, cyber security or enterprise technology projects.
- Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation, process mapping, stakeholder workshops and current-state/future-state analysis.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, RDP, SSH and enterprise networking.
- Experience analysing privileged access, authentication, credential management or security-related operational processes.
- Exposure to Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, particularly Keeper PAM or similar enterprise platforms.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical specialists, vendors and operational teams.
- Experience supporting testing, project governance, operational readiness and BAU handover.
- Relevant certifications in business analysis, cyber security, identity management or project management would be highly regarded.
Benefits
- Opportunity to contribute to a significant cyber security and privileged access management implementation within Queensland Government.
- Brisbane CBD location with hybrid working arrangements (three days onsite).
- Work alongside experienced infrastructure, identity and cyber security specialists.
- Initial contract through to 30 April 2027.
- Opportunity to work on a complex enterprise technology project with a strong focus on security and operational improvement.
