Senior Business Analyst
2 Year Fixed Term Contract

We're partnering with a major federal organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst.

This role will support the delivery of large-scale technology and transformation initiatives within a complex and highly regulated environment. Working across critical programs, you will play a key role in defining business needs, managing requirements, and helping ensure successful project outcomes from concept through to implementation.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, project managers, architects, engineers, operational teams and external vendors to deliver meaningful business outcomes while bringing structure, clarity and direction to complex challenges.

What you'll be doing

- Lead business analysis across major technology initiatives.
- Shape requirements for complex transformation programs.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions.
- Manage requirements through the delivery lifecycle.
- Maintain transparent requirements traceability.
- Develop process maps and analysis artefacts.
- Support solution design and delivery decisions.
- Identify risks, gaps and delivery impacts.
- Translate business needs into actionable outcomes.
- Partner with project and technical teams.
- Support procurement and vendor engagements.
- Contribute to testing and operational readiness.
- Produce high-quality project documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you need to bring

- Significant Senior Business Analyst experience.
- Background delivering technology-focused projects.




- Experience within large and complex organisations.
- Strong requirements analysis capability.
- Expertise across project delivery lifecycles.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Proven process improvement experience.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and change.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience influencing diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
