Urban Development Partners (URBAN) is a boutique development advisory, acquisitions and development management consultancy based in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We act for landowners, investors and private developers from acquisition through to delivery and sale. We are now building an in-house project management capability, and this role is an prospect for the right person to grow with us.
The role
As Development Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of client projects from approval through to construction completion and handover. Projects include land subdivisions, townhouses and new homes, typically $2 million to $10 million in total development cost. The role requires a QBCC Builder – Project Management Services or Builder (Low Rise or higher) licence, or the ability to obtain one.
What you will do
- Procure and manage consultant teams through design, approvals and operational works
- Manage authority approvals, service connections and plan sealing
- Prepare budgets and programmes, and run tenders for builders and civil contractors
- Act as project manager and superintendent, including progress claims,
variations and site inspections
- Manage practical completion, handover and defects
- Report monthly to clients and the Development Director
About you
- 5+ years in residential project management or contract administration in Queensland
- A track record delivering subdivisions, townhouses and/or new dwellings
- A QBCC Builder – Project Management Services or Builder (Low Rise or higher) licence, or the ability to obtain one
- Sound knowledge of SEQ planning and authority processes
- Commercially minded, organised and confident with clients and contractors
- A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
What we offer
- $120,000 – $140,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
