The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join us in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne, on a full time permanent basis.

As the Senior Business Development Manager, you'll be joining our dedicated global team of Business Development professionals. This role will see you partner directly with our Advance team, who are our award-winning NewLaw division. As the Senior Business Development Manager for Advance, you will be accountable for shaping and delivering the Australia growth strategy for the division, you will work closely with the Advance leadership team to identify opportunities, strengthen market position, and accelerate revenue growth.

This is a senior role suitable to someone who is wanting to actively work across strategy, client development, and implementation.



You will utilise your experience and judgement to determine where Business Development effort will create the greatest value. This is an opportunity for you to turn ideas and emerging client needs, into practical commercial opportunities.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

- Experience acting as a strategic and commercial adviser to senior leaders, including the confidence to influence and challenge partners and senior fee-earners where appropriate.
- Senior Business Development experience in a professional services, legal, consulting, or technology environment.
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle, including opportunity qualification, pipeline management, pursuit strategy and conversion.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-value pursuits involving multiple services, stakeholders or areas of expertise.
- Understanding of New Law, alternative legal services, legal operations, legal technology, consulting-led services and/or other complex multidisciplinary solutions
