The consultancy works across a broad range of building projects throughout NSW, offering exposure to:

- Commercial buildings and developments.
- Industrial facilities, warehouses and associated structures.
- Low to mid-rise residential buildings.
- Mixed-use and other building structures.
- Structural alterations, extensions and redevelopment projects.




- A variety of other commercial and residential structural engineering assignments.

You'll be expected to bring sound structural engineering judgement and the ability to confidently oversee projects across different building sectors.

- Strong experience working on projects throughout NSW will be particularly valuable, including familiarity with Australian Standards, local construction practices and the expectations of architects, builders and developers.
- Leadership is about more than a title

Your responsibilities will include:

- Remaining hands-on with structural engineering design and technical problem-solving.
- Leading and coordinating structural projects across commercial, industrial and residential sectors.
- Providing technical guidance, design reviews and quality assurance.
- Mentoring engineers and designers and supporting their professional development.
- Establishing a positive, collaborative and productive team environment.
- Communicating directly with architects, builders, developers and other consultants.
- Supporting the continued growth of the Sydney structural engineering operation.
- Progressively taking on greater responsibility for team leadership, client relationships and operational performance.

What will make you successful?

- At least seven years' structural engineering experience, with substantial experience in NSW.
- A strong technical background across commercial,



industrial and low to mid-rise residential buildings.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, structural design principles and local building practices.
- The ability and willingness to remain actively involved in hands-on engineering work.
- Previous experience leading projects, mentoring engineers or coordinating technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with clients, architects, builders and other stakeholders.
- A positive, approachable personality and the ability to develop a strong team culture.
- Genuine ambition to progress into broader leadership of the Sydney structural engineering operations.

Importantly, this isn't a position for someone who wants to move completely away from engineering design.
