Origination Director – Investments

The Opportunity

Our client is a growing investment organisation focused on supporting the growth and development of Australian businesses through debt, equity and structured capital solutions.

As part of its continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Origination Director to join its Investment Origination team. This role will suit a commercially minded investment professional with strong industry networks, transaction experience and a proven ability to identify and develop new investment opportunities.

Working closely with senior business leaders, investors, advisers and internal investment teams, you will be responsible for originating and shaping investment opportunities, building strategic relationships and developing a strong pipeline of commercially viable transactions.

The role offers exposure to significant investment opportunities across a diverse range of industries and sectors, with the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale transactions that extend beyond traditional lending structures.

Key Responsibilities

- Originate and develop debt, equity and structured finance opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with corporates, investors, financial institutions and advisers.
- Identify funding requirements, emerging investment themes and new market opportunities.
- Work alongside investment teams to assess opportunities, identify appropriate capital solutions and shape transactions.
- Develop origination strategies to expand market coverage and generate new deal flow.




- Build and manage a solid pipeline of commercially viable investment opportunities.

About You

You will be an experienced investment origination professional with strong commercial judgement, established industry relationships and a demonstrated ability to identify and progress complex transactions.

To be considered, you will bring:

- 10+ years' experience in investment banking, corporate finance, institutional lending, private capital or investment origination.
- A proven track record originating debt, equity, structured finance or corporate finance transactions.
- Experience working on transactions ranging from approximately $10 million to $200 million+.
- Established networks across corporates, investors, financial institutions and advisory firms.
- Strong understanding of capital structures, investment assessment and transaction processes.
- Excellent relationship management, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
