Your new role

As the EL2 Finance ERP Lead, you will operate at the intersection of finance, ERP technology and strategic architecture. Acting as a key agency-side subject-matter expert, you will translate finance requirements into practical technology outcomes and provide an informed, independent voice when engaging with technology partners and vendors.
With significant scope to shape the future state, you will:

- Develop the target state and strategic roadmap for the finance and ERP domain.
- Act as a bridge between finance, technology teams, architects, implementation partners and vendors.
- Represent the agency's interests in ERP design discussions, challenging solutions and negotiating appropriate outcomes.
- Translate financial management requirements, controls and business processes into strategic technology direction.
- Provide assurance over solution designs, identifying dependencies, risks, gaps and opportunities for reuse.
- Advise senior stakeholders and governance forums on architecture, investment, sequencing and implementation decisions.
- Balance business requirements with cost, risk, compliance and technical considerations.

The position can be based in Deakin ACT, Brisbane QLD, Adelaide SA, Geelong or Richmond VIC, or Surry Hills NSW.

What you'll need to succeed

- Must be an Australian citizen with a minimum Baseline security clearance

You will bring substantial experience delivering complex finance and/or ERP transformation,



supported by the credibility to operate with senior Finance, technology and vendor stakeholders.
Ideally, you will have:

- 8+ years' experience across complex finance, ERP or enterprise technology environments.
- Strong understanding of financial management processes, controls, audit and compliance requirements.
- Experience shaping finance ERP solutions and translating business requirements into technology outcomes.
- The ability to challenge vendors and implementation partners and negotiate solutions that serve organisational requirements.
- Experience with architecture principles, governance, target-state design and transformation roadmaps.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and the ability to influence competing priorities.
- Experience in the Australian Government or another large, complex organisation will be highly regarded.
- TOGAF, cloud architecture or relevant technology qualifications are desirable.
