We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team at Fortune of War. You will work in a busy, friendly pub-style kitchen preparing dishes that keep our regulars and recent customers coming back for more. If you enjoy working in a fastpaced environment and take pride in quality cooking and presentation — we want you on board!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from our menu — including pub classics,daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods to ensure timely food preparation and consistent quality.
- Assist in developing menu items and rotating specials under guidance of senior kitchen staff or management.




- Maintain high standards of food presentation and plating to meet our venue’s quality expectations.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and WHS (Work Health & Safety) regulations at all times.
- Help with stock management: receiving deliveries, checking supplies, rotating stock, and minimising waste.
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas, equipment and workspaces to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
- Collaborate with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver smooth service and positive guest experience.

Ideal Candidate:

- Prior experience working in a pub, bistro or restaurant kitchen.
- Passion for good food and consistent cooking quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during peak times.
- Good communication, teamwork skills and willingness to pitch in where
- needed.
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards and safe kitchen practices.
