Your Role: Assistant Store Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for motivated retail leaders to join our Melbourne CBD store teams, supporting Store Managers in delivering exceptional customer experiences, developing high-performing teams and achieving strong commercial results.

In this role, you will:

- Lead by example – inspire, support and motivate your team to consistently deliver exceptional standards
- Coach and develop – build team capability, provide meaningful feedback and support team member growth
- Drive operational excellence – ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including stock management, rostering and store presentation




- Support commercial outcomes – contribute to achieving sales targets, managing labour, controlling stock and minimising waste
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences – create a welcoming environment where every interaction reflects the Koko Black brand
- Support your Store Manager – take ownership of daily operations and confidently lead the store in their absence

Who You Are

You are a capable, enthusiastic and people-focused leader with a passion for retail and delivering premium customer experiences.

You'll bring:

- Previous experience in a retail or hospitality leadership role
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, coach and motivate a team
- A customer-first mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational priorities with sales performance
- A proactive, reliable and adaptable approach in a fast-paced retail workplace
- A genuine passion for developing people and creating a positive team culture
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and peak trading periods
- A genuine appreciation for premium products, with a love of chocolate an added bonus!
