Robert Half is partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Manager for a contract opportunity based in Sydney CBD.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to join a high-performing team and take ownership of financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and team leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing strategic financial insights while ensuring strong financial governance and controls.

We're looking for a CA/CPA qualified finance qualified with proven experience leading finance functions within complex and fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Director/CFO, key duties will include:

- Leading the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process
- Ownership of monthly management reporting and board reporting packs
- Managing budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities
- Providing insightful variance analysis and financial performance reporting
- Leading cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Driving business partnering across operational and executive stakeholders
- Managing and mentoring members of the finance team
- Oversight of statutory reporting, tax compliance, BAS and GST obligations
- Managing internal and external audit processes
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and internal controls
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and driving finance transformation initiatives
- Supporting key business projects, commercial analysis and strategic decision-making

About You

To be considered, you will have:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience within Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar roles




- Strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting expertise
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering capability
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large ERP systems
- Commercially focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Immediate or short-notice availability highly regarded
