A rewarding opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of Territory-shaping projects as one of Infrastructure Canberra’s (iCBR) Directorate Liaison Officers (DLO)!

The iCBR DLO works closely with iCBR’s Executive and its Chief Operating Office to facilitate information flow between the Directorate, its Ministers’ Offices and other ACTPS agencies. An ideal applicant will bring to the role a sound understanding of government processes, demonstrated leadership skills, a responsive approach to tight deadlines, and an ability to build and maintain effective relationships through concise communication.

If you are a person who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys working collaboratively with your colleagues, this is the role for you.

We are committed to creating an inclusive setting where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

- Previous experience in the management and provision of advice in Cabinet and Assembly matters.
- Hold or be able to obtain a baseline security clearance.

Notes:

This is a temporary position available from 1 December 2026 for 12 months with the possibility of extension. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

How to Apply: Please provide a current curriculum vitae, details of two referees and maximum two-page pitch outlining your suitability for the advertised position.

Applications should be submitted via the Apply Now button below.

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.

Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.

The ACT public service is committed to closing the gap, underpinned by the belief that when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a genuine say in the design and delivery of policies, programs and services that affect them, better life outcomes are achieved. More information can be found here ACT Closing the Gap Implementation Plan - ACT Government Transparency Portal.
