About the Role

The Student Admissions Advisor is often the first point of contact for prospective students, parents and career changers exploring a future in the creative industries.

As part of JMC’s Admissions team, you’ll play a critical role in converting enquiries into enrolments by guiding prospective students through the application and admissions process, helping them understand their study options and supporting them throughout their decision-making journey.

This is a highly relationship-driven role that combines outbound sales activity, student recruitment, customer service and stakeholder engagement. You’ll engage with prospective students via phone, email, virtual consultations and face-to-face interactions, while also representing JMC at campus events, open days and industry expos.

Working closely with Academic, Student Recruitment, Marketing and Student Services teams, you’ll help aspiring creatives take the next step towards their education and career goals.

The role is based at our Brisbane campus and is offered as a full-time permanent opportunity.

What’s Involved?

- Manage prospective student enquiries via phone, email, virtual consultations and face-to-face interactions.
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective students and applicants, nurturing enquiries through the admissions pipeline towards enrolment.
- Guide prospective students through the application, interview and admissions process.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, schools and other stakeholders.
- Provide accurate information on JMC’s courses, student life,



career outcomes and admissions requirements.
- Coordinate and support the domestic student enrolment process from enquiry through to commencement.
- Conduct campus tours and participate in open days, information sessions, expos and recruitment events.
- Maintain accurate records and activity within CRM systems and admissions platforms.
- Achieve individual enrolment and admissions targets while maintaining an exceptional student experience.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support conversion, enrolment, retention and student success outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve admissions processes, service delivery and the prospective student experience.
- Contribute positively to a high-performing and supportive admissions team environment.

Are You Who We’re Looking For?

You will know this role is for you if you:

- Have experience in sales, admissions, student recruitment, business development, customer success or a similar target-driven environment.
- Enjoy building relationships and influencing decision-making through consultative conversations.
- Are comfortable making outbound calls and engaging with prospective students from diverse backgrounds.
- Have experience working towards KPIs, sales targets or performance objectives.
- Possess strong objection-handling, communication and customer engagement skills.
- Can confidently communicate with students, parents, schools and industry stakeholders.
- Are highly organised and able to manage multiple enquiries and priorities simultaneously.
- Have experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot or equivalent systems.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and service quality.
- Are adaptable, resilient and quick to learn new systems, processes and information.




- Enjoy working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Have an interest in the creative industries, higher education or student recruitment.
- Hold a current Working with Children Check or are willing to obtain one.
- Demonstrate a clear alignment with JMC Academy’s purpose, vision and values.

Highly Regarded

- Experience within higher education, vocational education or student admissions.
- Experience in a phone-based sales, recruitment or enrolment workplace.
- Experience conducting campus tours, presentations, information sessions or recruitment events.
- Previous exposure to the creative industries through work, education or personal interest.
