On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for conducting engineering tasks of moderate scope and complexity under the guidance and direction of senior engineers to meet project requirements and maintain a high level of client satisfaction and profitability.
As a Structural Engineer, you will perform the following:• Design and analyse structural systems and components in accordance with Australian Standards and industry best practices. • Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and technical documentation. • Perform technical reviews of project documentation to ensure structural integrity and compliance. • Undertake site inspections and assessments to monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues. • Provide technical advice and recommendations regarding structural design, materials, and construction methods. • Preparation and preliminary tenders and construction documentation submissions• Assist in ensuring company quality assurance procedures are followed on all projects• Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and safety requirements.
• Assist with project planning and budgeting.
Skills & Experience • At least a relevant bachelor’s degree qualification• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical building design solutions. • Sound understanding of structural engineering fundamentals, with a demonstrated commitment to developing technical capability. • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality engineering outputs. • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information. • Ability to work under direction, accept feedback, and apply learning under the guidance of senior engineers.
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. • Robust organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
