Quantum Development Group Pty Ltd is a South Australian land development and residential construction company based in Prospect.

The business specialises in land subdivisions, home-and-land packages, and custom residential builds, managing projects from initial concept and site assessment through to completion.

Work centres on creating residential lots, coordinating private site works, and delivering finished homes for clients across the Adelaide region.

The company works closely with project managers, designers, surveyors and external consultants to ensure each development meets client requirements and relevant standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to support the company’s land subdivision, home-and-land package and custom residential build projects.

The role involves preparing accurate technical drawings and plans for the private site works and civil elements associated with residential developments, from the early planning stage through to final construction documentation.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the company’s project managers and external professionals to produce clear, practical documentation that supports the delivery of subdivisions and custom homes.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The Civil Engineering Draftsperson will prepare detailed drawings, sketches and supporting documentation for the site works that form part of the company’s residential land subdivisions, home-and-land packages and custom builds.

This includes producing site plans, lot layouts, earthworks and cut-and-fill designs, private stormwater drainage arrangements, service connections, driveway access,

retaining wall details and other site-specific elements required to prepare land and homes for construction.

The role requires interpreting client briefs, survey information and design instructions, then applying appropriate drafting standards and software to create clear and accurate plans that can be used from the concept and approval stage through to construction.

The draftsperson will collect and organise relevant site and design data, carry out basic calculations to support the drawings, and ensure finished documentation aligns with project specifications, client requirements and applicable standards.

Work will also involve preparing material quantity information where needed for the company’s residential packages, reviewing and updating drawings as projects progress from start to finish, and assisting with minor revisions to keep documentation consistent with the overall development.

From time to time the role may require coordination with consultants or brief site checks to confirm existing conditions so that the plans remain practical and buildable.

All work supports the company’s project team and ensures residential subdivisions and custom homes proceed with correctly documented private site works from initial design through to completion.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold an Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design (or equivalent) and have a minimum of one year or more of relevant experience.

Demonstrated experience preparing drawings for residential land developments, subdivisions, home-and-land packages or custom residential site works is required, particularly using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent.

Familiarity with South Australian standards and typical private residential site elements (earthworks, stormwater, services, driveways and retaining structures) is essential.

Robust attention to detail, the ability to work from project instructions, and clear communication with project teams are important.

Registration or licensing is not mandatory but relevant industry knowledge will be highly regarded.
