AFTERNOON SHIFT SUPERVISOR – REINFORCEMENT PRODUCTION | GLENDENNINGLead from the floor. Drive production. Develop your team leaders.

Mesh & Bar is seeking an experienced, hands-on Afternoon Shift Supervisor to lead our afternoon shift in Glendenning across mesh, rebar and prefabricated products.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead three working team leaders across Light Bars, Heavy Bars and Loading. You will:

- Overseeing daily production across rebar benders, shear lines and off-coil machines (MEP)
- Reviewing production schedules, allocating tasks and ensuring daily targets and KPIs are achieved
- Coordinating the staging of raw materials, including steel coils and bar stock, and ensuring finished goods are correctly tagged and stored
- Monitoring production flow, identifying bottlenecks and troubleshooting operational or mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Leading pre-shift toolbox talks and ensuring all WHS, PPE and safety requirements are followed
- Identifying and reporting hazards and supporting the investigation of incidents and near misses
- Supervising, coaching and supporting machine operators, fabricators and material handlers
- Managing attendance, rosters, timesheets, performance and day-to-day team issues
- Ensuring employees receive appropriate on-the-job training and cross-training
- Monitoring product quality against engineering drawings, customer specifications and production requirements
- Addressing quality issues,



including stopping production where required and supporting NCRs and corrective actions
- Completing detailed shift reports covering production output, maintenance requirements and labour hours
- Conducting a thorough handover with the morning shift supervisor and ensuring outstanding issues are clearly communicated
- Ensuring machinery is safely shut down and the facility is secure at the end of the shift

About You
- 3–5 years’ experience as a manufacturing supervisor or senior team leader
- Steel reinforcement or similar manufacturing experience
- Experience leading team leaders while staying active on the floor
- Ability to read bending schedules and production orders
- Strong understanding of WHS, plus basic computer and production system skills

Desirable:
- machine operation experience
- LF Forklift Licence
- gantry crane experience
- First Aid, and experience with ASA Systems
