Little Road Interior Design LITTLE ROAD INTERIOR DESIGN is seeking a skilled and creative Interior Designer to join our team in McLaren Vale, South Australia.

This full-time position involves developing design concepts and inspiration, preparing schematic designs, undertaking spatial planning, and creating sketches, drawings, visualisations, and interior layouts and models in accordance with client briefs.

The role also includes selecting and specifying suitable products, finishes and materials, preparing cost estimates, and liaising with builders, contractors and tradespeople to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with approved design specifications and client requirements. Task & responsibilities Create a concept and inspiration document for all new projects from LR Pinterest board (created by Director) and various creative sources. Commence Sketch Up model / Layout planning and elevations subject to brief. Create presentation documents to effectively communicate designs and selections to clients and trades - for example, InDesign & Layout as required to effectively communicate design intent and concepts/design direction. Create new selections document and begin adding individual selections using Programa. Be confident in identifying and problem-solving design challenges and suggesting possible solutions. Meet design deadlines outlined in LR client’s schedule.



Report daily to the Design Studio Manager regarding project status and progress. Maintain project management software (Trello) – update daily as applicable to notify the Design Studio Manager when tasks are complete or questions need to be answered by the Director.

All design documents must be PDF prior to notifying the Director that they are ready for review. Work in collaboration with the LR other Interior Designers and members of staff. Billable hours based on KPI and in line with each client Fee Proposal. Productive and effective use of time in line with the set KPI’s. Qualification & experience Qualifications, Skills and Experience A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. At least one year of relevant work experience as an Interior Designer, additional years of experience are preferred Proficiency in design and project management software, including Sketch

Up, Lay

Out, Programa, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office and other relevant applications. Experience in selecting and specifying materials, finishes, furniture and products for interior design projects. Solid communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues,



builders and other stakeholders. Ability to independently oversee and coordinate interior design works on construction sites to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications. Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, building regulations and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements. Demonstrated experience in researching, analysing and developing design concepts, sketches, diagrams, illustrations and detailed plans to support and improve the interior design process.
