About Julyardi Aboriginal Corporation

Julyardi Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit, client-focused organisation delivering wraparound services to the Hedland Aboriginal community. We're a growing, innovative, local Aboriginal Corporation guided by Hedland Aboriginal Strong Leaders, and we work as one team to support our community.

About the Role

We're looking for an organised, friendly Office Administrator to join our Corporate Services team in South Hedland. You'll be the welcoming first point of contact for community members, Elders, clients and visitors, and you'll help keep our office, staff housing and fleet running smoothly.

Our admin team shares reception and front-of-house, and each team member leads one area of work:

- Housing and reception
- People and workplace support
- Fleet, facilities and IT

You'll report to the Corporate Services Manager and work to clear processes, with support from a team that's always willing to help.

What You'll Do

Reception and office

- Open and secure the building, run reception, and welcome visitors in a culturally safe way.
- Manage mail, couriers and the admin inbox.
- Keep meeting rooms, the kitchen and common areas ready, and set up for meetings, Elder activities and events.
- Share Food Safety Supervisor duties for the office kitchen.

Housing

- Schedule housing inspections, prepare condition reports, and follow up with tenants.
- Log maintenance requests and track them with contractors through to completion.
- Coordinate Elder Services bookings, quotes and invoicing.

People and workplace

- Get new starters set up with equipment and induction
- Maintain asset registers
- Support WHS paperwork, evacuation drills and training travel bookings.

Fleet, facilities and IT

- Look after vehicle servicing, fuel cards, repair quotes and compliance checks.
- Coordinate building maintenance, keys and access, and contractors.
- Log IT requests and liaise with our IT provider.

Across the team

- Raise purchase orders,

collect receipts and keep accurate records.
- Support community events and help improve how we do things.

What You'll Bring

- Experience in an administrative role, and strong organisation and attention to detail.
- A warm, professional and culturally aware approach, in person and on the phone.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence with Outlook, Word and Excel, and willingness to learn recent systems.
- The ability to build good relationships with contractors, suppliers and community partners.
- Integrity and respect for confidentiality.

Desirable

- Experience working with Aboriginal people or at-risk communities.
- Qualifications in Administration or Business.
- A First Aid or Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willingness to obtain.

Essential Requirements

- Unrestricted C Class driver's licence, with a driving history compatible with coverage by our insurance provider.
- WA Working with Children Check, current or willing to obtain.
- National Police Check not more than six months old, or willing to obtain.
- Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing, if requested.

Why Join Us

You'll be part of a supportive team doing meaningful work for community. We offer regular check-ins with your manager, team meetings and planning days, room to grow your skills, and access to our Employee Assistance Program.
