At HCLTech, professionals work with clients and cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and support meaningful change. This opportunity contributes to a major banking programme focused on strengthening intraday liquidity monitoring, reporting and risk management capabilities.

About The Role

HCLTech is seeking a Data Analyst to support the delivery of an Intraday Liquidity (IDL) Reporting Uplift programme. The role will contribute to the organisation’s compliance with APRA APS 210 obligations while helping enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of liquidity monitoring, forecasting and reporting.

Working across Treasury, Risk, Operations, Finance and Technology, you will analyse complex financial data, clarify business and data requirements, document how data moves between systems, assess data quality and support testing. Your work will help ensure that regulatory and management reporting is accurate, traceable and aligned with business needs. You will also communicate findings, risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong SQL skills and demonstrated ability to analyse large, complex financial datasets.
- Experience with data profiling, reconciliation, data quality assessment and issue investigation.
- Understanding of data lineage, source-to-target mapping and data transformation requirements.
- Experience in Treasury, Finance, Risk or Regulatory Reporting within banking or financial services.
- Knowledge of liquidity management, cash management,

payment and settlement processes, or regulatory reporting.
- Familiarity with APRA, Basel or other prudential reporting obligations is advantageous.
- Experience supporting requirements definition, documentation, stakeholder workshops and delivery testing.
- Exposure to intraday liquidity management or liquidity risk programmes is preferred.
- Experience with platforms such as Murex, RITS, GPP, NPP or Austraclear, and data or ETL platforms such as Ab Initio, is beneficial.

Responsibilities

- Elicit, document and validate business, functional and data requirements, translating regulatory and operational needs into clear reporting specifications.
- Analyse cash, liquidity, payment and settlement data across multiple source systems, identifying patterns, gaps, anomalies and reconciliation issues.
- Document data lineage, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings and transformation rules.
- Facilitate workshops with Treasury, Risk, Operations, Finance, Technology and reporting teams to confirm requirements and resolve questions.
- Support APS 210 intraday liquidity reporting requirements, including calculations and outputs for Largest Negative Net Cumulative Position (LNNCP), liquidity utilisation, payment inflows and outflows, settlement obligations, and forecast-versus-actual positions.

- Define data quality controls, remediation needs and validation processes for key reporting outputs. Support reconciliation of liquidity positions, balances, transactions and intraday metrics.
- Prepare test scenarios and support system integration testing, user acceptance testing and parallel-run activities.
- Validate reporting calculations and dashboard outputs, assist with defect triage, and contribute to go-live readiness and post-implementation reviews.
- Produce business requirements, functional and data specifications, mapping documents, validation reports, regulatory reporting requirements, test traceability materials and issue analysis documentation.
- Clearly communicate analysis outcomes, delivery risks and recommendations to business and technical audiences, including vendors and delivery partners.

Benefits Join a significant financial services transformation programme with the opportunity to apply your analytical skills to regulatory reporting and liquidity risk. You will collaborate with experienced professionals across banking, technology and operations, contribute to a high-visibility delivery and build valuable expertise in data, Treasury and prudential reporting. HCLTech offers a skilled environment focused on collaboration, learning and client impact.
