Role: Data Operations Support

Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Contract Role (This does not include any leave entitlements such as sick leave, annual leave, or holiday leave. All leaves are unpaid during this contract engagement)

About the role and team:

- Ability to deliver orders for millions of customers depends on a great marketplace experience across Delivery partners, merchants and consumers, delivering a reliable, convenient and quick service at all times in all places. The marketplace team keeps supply and demand in balance across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring orders are picked up and delivered quickly and efficiently by our Delivery Partners.
- As Operations Support on the Marketplace ANZ team, you will help us understand how the marketplace is performing and how to improve it.
- You will analyse data to generate marketplace operational insights, monitor marketplace health, and help implement interventions that improve marketplace performance across different cities and use cases. You’ll also support new merchant and city launches and help improve delivery quality by building and deploying delivery partner quality and defect-reduction initiatives, and helping set-up and roll out fraud initiatives to protect the marketplace.
- This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with a hands-on, operational mindset. You will work across a broad range of projects,



from delivering marketplace operational insights and regular performance reporting to supporting the rollout of new programs and initiatives. You'll collaborate with teams across the business, turning ideas into action and helping deliver a better marketplace experience for everyone on the platform.

What you'll do:

● Analyse marketplace performance: Work with large datasets to analyse supply, demand and delivery performance and surface trends, pain points and opportunities across delivery partners, merchants and cities.

● Surface marketplace operational insights: Turn analysis into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for Marketplace and cross-functional stakeholders.

● Support marketplace interventions: Help design, implement and track operational interventions that improve marketplace performance (e.g. reliability, supply and pricing levers), and measure their impact, owning initiatives from end-to-end where needed.

● Improve delivery quality: Identify pain points & opportunities and support the deployment of courier quality, defect-reduction, and fraud initiatives and monitor outcomes to drive continuous improvement.

● Monitor and report on marketplace health:



Own weekly and monthly marketplace reporting and city-level monitoring, proactively identifying issues and recommending next steps. Be the owner of the dashboards and ensure they are accurate and up to date.

● Collaborate across teams: Partner with Operations, Product, Data Science, Legal, and other stakeholders to align initiatives with business priorities and local market needs.

● Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve operational efficiency, and automate reporting through new tools, AI, and automation.

Basic qualifications:

● Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, data or business analysis, marketplace operations, or a related role.

● Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into explicit insights and recommendations.

● Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to use data to track performance and inform decisions.

● Advanced technical fluency, including proficiency in SQL, Python, or data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau).

● Ownership mindset, with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution and attention to detail

● Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.

● Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences.

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, with the ability to learn new processes and tools quickly.
