Rare opportunity to join the Deluca Design team.

We are searching for our next Design Manager to help us deliver commercial, industrial development and retail construction projects across South-East Qld.

The Role The Design Manager role will cover the management of the design process from tender and pre-construction through to construction, working closely with estimating, construction teams, consultants and clients to deliver practical, commercially sound project outcomes. This role will be involved in our commercial, industrial development and retail construction projects.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead and coordinate design development, documentation and approvals.
- Drive buildability, value management and cost-effective design solutions.
- Manage consultants, design programmes, budgets and project risks.
- Collaborate with estimating and construction teams from tender through to delivery.
- Lead and support the design team to achieve project objectives.

About You

- 5–10 years’ experience in commercial construction, building or architecture.
- Experience coordinating consultants, approvals, budgets and programmes.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Robust design management capabilities, including experience coordinating architectural, structural, and building services design across commercial,



industrial, and residential projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction methodologies and relevant Australian building codes, standards, and planning regulations, with a focus on compliance, safety, and quality.
- Background in construction, property development, or related sectors, with on-site exposure and understanding of how design impacts delivery and operations.
