Role Description

Drillers Offsider is a rostered full time, on-site role supporting drilling operations in the field.

This position assists the driller with daily setup and pack-down of RC drill rigs, handling rods, sampling equipment and consumables. Typical tasks include safely loading and unloading equipment, managing sample collection and labelling, mixing and handling drilling fluids, and maintaining a clean, organized worksite. The role involves routine checks of equipment, basic maintenance under supervision, and adherence to all safety procedures and reporting requirements.

The Drillers Offsider works closely with the driller and crew to ensure efficient operations, high-quality samples and timely communication of field information.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to perform physical, manual work in remote or field environments, including lifting, carrying and working in varying weather conditions.




- Strong commitment to safety, with an understanding of safe work practices, hazard identification and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation, routine maintenance and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, work cooperatively in small crews and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Valid driver’s licence; ability to travel and work roster-based shifts in regional or remote locations as required.
- Previous experience in drilling, mining, construction or other industrial environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- a Truck drivers HR (Heavy Rigid) license is preferred.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medicals, drug and alcohol screening, and meet site access requirements.
- Right to work in Australia and basic proficiency in spoken and written English for safety and reporting purposes
