Our client is a rapidly growing construction and services organisation expanding through both organic growth and acquisition.
They are seeking an experienced Employment Hero specialist to review a partially completed implementation, optimise payroll and HR processes, strengthen governance, and establish scalable workflows that support future growth.
The Organisation has a Payroll Officer and a Outsourced Payroll provider, so this role is not about transacting payroll it is the HRIS interaction and the broader HRIS implementation.
The Challenge
- Several payroll runs every week across four employing entities
- Multiple EBAs each with its own rules and allowances that need to be configured and automated
- Payroll data issues arising before it reaches the outsourced payroll provider, including inconsistent site processes, timesheet accuracy and manual amendments
- Onboarding and offboarding gaps, including employees remaining active or on payroll after departure
- Governance and security concerns, including user permissions and visibility of salary information
What You'll Do
- Diagnose whether issues come from system configuration, process design, user behaviour, training or approval controls
- Configure and automate EBA and award rules, and optimise pay runs across all entities
- Streamline and document onboarding and offboarding, and support a newly appointed HR / Office Coordinator to own them
- Review access profiles, permissions, approval pathways and segregation of duties
- Build workflow automation, self-service and manager approvals that people will use
- Lift stakeholder capability and system adoption
- Leave behind a scalable structure that supports continued acquisition-driven growth
This is a hands-on and strategic assignment, not system administration.

About You
Essential
- Deep Employment Hero expertise, including implementation and remediation or optimisation projects
- Experience in complex, multi-entity payroll environments
- EBA interpretation and configuration
- HRIS configuration and process improvement capability
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills

- Construction, manufacturing or other blue-collar workforce experience
- Acquisition integration experience
- Payroll transformation projects
