This is a Canberra-based Technical Lead opportunity in our Engineering team for someone who wants to shape scalable digital solutions and help clients solve complex business problems.

What will your typical day look like?

Much of your time will be spent designing and building full stack applications across modern backend, frontend and integration layers. That could mean guiding engineering decisions, shaping solution design, and staying close to the code across technologies like Java, C#, Angular, React, APIs and microservices. Your work will help clients turn requirements into reliable, secure and maintainable digital products. From improving performance and scalability to supporting cloud deployment and modern engineering practices, you'll play a key role in making sure solutions are fit for purpose and built to last.

Working closely with product teams, technical stakeholders and wider delivery squads, you'll move between hands-on engineering, technical leadership and delivery planning. The pace is varied, the problems are real, and you'll have the chance to grow your capability in client-facing and Forward Deployed Engineering environments.

Our Engineering team brings together software engineers, architects and delivery specialists to build modern digital solutions that help clients solve important business challenges.



The team works across application delivery, systems integration and cloud-enabled engineering, with a focus on creating scalable products, strong user experiences and reliable technology foundations.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

- Strong software engineering experience across Java and/or C#, with exposure to up-to-date frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
- Experience building full stack applications, including responsive user interfaces, backend services and API-led integrations
- Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, clean code practices and secure development standards
- Experience designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices in enterprise environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP, along with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and modern engineering toolchains
- Confidence contributing to solution design, systems integration and technical delivery planning in agile environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly across business and technical teams
- Australian citizenship with current Baseline security clearance
