Join Australian Vision Research’s Investment Advisory Committee

Australian Vision Research (AVR) funds Australian eye research that changes lives. We’re looking for an additional independent member to join our Investment Advisory Committee and help steward the investment portfolio that sustains our research grants.

The role

- Oversee the portfolio in a fiduciary capacity, alongside the Chair, Treasurer and CEO.
- Hold our external investment adviser to account on performance, fees and manager selection.
- Help shape our Investment Policy Statement, including asset allocation, liquidity and ethical investment settings.
- Serve a 3-year term, with around four meetings a year (all online).
- Remuneration (sitting fees) is available for independent members.

You’ll bring

- Senior experience in investment management, asset consulting, or endowment or foundation investing.
- Confidence to challenge advice constructively, especially on attribution, fees and private-market liquidity.
- An understanding of responsible investment.
- A commitment to AVR’s mission.
