About The Role

SiteMinder is seeking a Software Engineer to take a leading role within a team developing the next generation of products. In this position, you will create and deliver high-quality software as part of a fast-paced, skilled, and collaborative engineering environment. You will contribute your development expertise throughout the product lifecycle, from understanding technical requirements to building, improving, and maintaining web applications.

This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact through thoughtful engineering and creative problem-solving. You will work with modern technology stacks alongside talented and passionate Software Engineers, sharing ideas and contributing to products that support hotels and their customers. Qualifications

You are an experienced Software Engineer who cares about creating great products and enjoys working in a collaborative, flexible,



and dynamic environment. You bring a strong foundation in web application development, curiosity about technology, and a commitment to continuous learning. You are comfortable contributing to technical discussions, working through complex engineering challenges, and communicating clearly with colleagues. The ideal candidate will have:

- At least five years of experience building web applications, with strong proficiency in Java development.
- Fluency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, together with some experience developing single-page applications. Experience with AngularJS is relevant to the technology environment described for this role.

- Robust knowledge of relational databases and practical experience with object-relational mapping tools.
- A focus on writing maintainable, reliable code and an ability to consider quality throughout the development process.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to contribute effectively within a highly skilled engineering team.
- A genuine interest in learning, improving software, and applying technology to real customer and business needs.

Responsibilities In this role, you will develop and deliver software for SiteMinder’s next generation of products. You will write, review, and maintain application code, applying your Java and web development skills to create dependable product features.

You will work with relational databases and ORM tools as part of building and supporting web applications.



You will collaborate with other Software Engineers to understand requirements, discuss solutions, and deliver work that meets agreed product and technical needs. You will also bring creative thinking to engineering challenges, contribute to continuous improvement, and share knowledge with teammates.

As a lead contributor within the team, you will help maintain a high standard of software quality while adapting to priorities in a rapid-moving product environment.
