Westfill is looking for an experienced Underground Maintenance Superintendent. You will lead the maintenance teams that keep our underground fleet safe, reliable and available. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with operations and site management.

ESSENTIALS - To Be Successful In This Role

- Statutory Supervisor (Section 26) qualification
- Trade qualified (heavy duty mechanic or similar), ideally with a Cert IV, Diploma or equivalent in Maintenance Management
- Proven experience in underground hard rock mining maintenance, including leading maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of underground mobile equipment such as loaders, trucks and drill rigs
- Solid understanding of WA Mining Legislation and safe systems of work
- Current WA driver’s licence with the ability to travel to remote sites
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical to include drug and alcohol screening.
- National Police Clearance valid within the last 6 months.
- Confident with Pronto for data and KPI reporting
- A direct, practical communicator who earns the respect of crews and works well with clients,

THE JOB - what is expected:

- Lead and coach fitters, supervisors across sites
- Drive fleet availability and reliability in the maintenance fleet
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance, major component changeouts and repairs
- Manage OEM, service provider and hire equipment supplier performance
- Own maintenance budgets, parts and consumables spend, and manage procurement team
- Use Pronto data and maintenance KPIs to track downtime, backlog and cost, and report them clearly to management
- Lead a strong safety culture, from isolations and risk assessments to incident investigations
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and development of the maintenance team
