We are a small, established boutique accounting firm that has been operating in Brisbane since 1934. We have a flat structure and a close-knit team, with everyone working together to deliver a high level of service to our clients.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Practice Manager to help keep the practice running smoothly and identify better ways of working across our systems, processes and day-to-day operations.

The role

Working closely with the Director and team, you will be responsible for:

- Managing the day-to-day operations and administration of the practice
- Coordinating client onboarding, enquiries and ongoing administration
- Monitoring workflow, deadlines, WIP, billing and debtors
- Supporting the Director and team with operational priorities and follow-up
- Maintaining practice procedures, records and compliance requirements
- Supporting firm bookkeeping and financial administration
- Coordinating staff onboarding, training and general people administration
- Identifying and implementing practical process, technology and automation improvements
- Liaising with IT, software providers and other external suppliers.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the office and be willing to roll up your sleeves when needed, whether that’s coordinating suppliers, collecting the mail, organising office supplies and groceries,



or taking care of the other practical tasks that keep the practice running smoothly.

About you

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience in an accounting practice or professional services environment
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with workflow, WIP, billing and debtors
- Strong Xero Practice Hub (Manager), Xero, Microsoft 365 skills
- Confidence learning new systems
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
- An interest in technology, automation and AI
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to take ownership and follow matters through.
