About The Company
Slater and Gordon is a leading Australian personal injury and class actions law firm. Our work is grounded in a shared commitment to our clients: we are people caring for people. We aim to create a supportive workplace where our people can do meaningful work, develop their skills and contribute to better client experiences.
The firm offers a hybrid working environment, giving employees the flexibility to split their time between home and the office. We recognise and reward high performance and support ongoing learning and professional development.
About The Role
We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our Client Connect team in a full time, 12-month fixed-term position. This role will contribute to a major technology transformation by developing, enhancing and supporting the firm’s Salesforce platform. The platform serves both clients and internal users and includes integrations with a range of business systems.
You will help deliver secure, scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions that support business agility and improve client experiences. Working with stakeholders across the firm, you will take part in the full delivery lifecycle, from understanding requirements and designing solutions through development, testing, deployment and ongoing support. You will also contribute to the standards and practices that help the Salesforce ecosystem remain reliable and fit for future needs.
Qualifications
You will bring three to five years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Lightning App Builder and Lightning Web Components (LWC), together with demonstrated experience across the full solution delivery lifecycle. You will have strong skills in Apex, Visualforce, Aura and LWC, XML, JSON, REST and SOAP APIs, and JavaScript. Experience with HTML, CSS and jQuery,
as well as integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems and services, is also required.
You should have practical experience with development and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Copado, and be comfortable supporting sprint planning, estimation, prioritisation and release management.
Experience managing Salesforce Sandbox and UAT environments, applying Salesforce architecture concepts and recommended patterns, and contributing to coding or delivery standards will be valuable.
Experience in a professional services or legal services environment is desirable. Clear communication, sound analysis and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues are important to success in this role.
Responsibilities
Develop, configure and support Salesforce functionality, including Apex classes and triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, integrations and APIs. Design solutions that are secure, scalable, maintainable and consistent with Salesforce best practices. Administer the platform’s day-to-day operations and maintain Sandbox and UAT environments so they are ready for testing and releases.
Support controlled, auditable deployments of tested changes into production, using GitHub pipelines and other appropriate DevOps tools. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, testers and IT teams to refine requirements and user stories, then deliver solutions through an organised lifecycle. Participate in Agile ceremonies,
sprint execution, work estimation and release planning.
Research relevant technology developments and assess their potential value to the firm. Document solution designs, configurations and operational procedures; contribute to code reviews and development standards; and ensure work meets information security, privacy, compliance and auditability expectations.
Benefits
Slater and Gordon offers a hybrid work environment and a range of employee benefits designed to support wellbeing and career development. Benefits include a week of shutdown leave, paid parental leave, extra-long service leave, and ongoing learning and professional development opportunities. The firm recognises and rewards high performance and encourages a healthy balance between work and personal commitments.
Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents or hold a valid visa with full and unrestricted working rights in Australia. Proof of work rights will be required during the application process. Please apply directly to Slater and Gordon; applications from recruitment agencies are not being accepted.
