Kakadu
Who we are
Kakadu National Park is one of Australia's most remarkable places, recognised internationally for both its outstanding natural workplace and its rich Aboriginal cultural heritage. Visitors from around the world come to experience its landscapes, wildlife, history and living culture.
Parks Australia is the federal agency responsible for managing Australia's national parks and marine parks. We work to protect these special places while creating meaningful experiences that help people connect with and appreciate Australia's natural and cultural heritage.
Kakadu is jointly managed by Traditional Owners and Parks Australia. This partnership ensures the park's natural and cultural values are protected and shared with visitors in a way that respects the knowledge, traditions and aspirations of First Nations people.
The Tourism and Visitor Services team helps bring Kakadu to life for visitors. We manage visitor centres, provide information and assistance, deliver interpretation and educational programs, and work with tourism operators, stakeholders and Traditional Owners to create memorable and authentic visitor experiences across the park.
