About the Company

People8 has partnered with an established engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Civil Designer for its Land & Infrastructure team, with opportunities in both Melbourne and Brisbane.

The consultancy provides engineering design solutions across land development, civil infrastructure and the built workplace, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, efficient and sustainable outcomes.

This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong Civil Designer looking to take ownership of complex designs, contribute to project delivery and support the development of junior team members.

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Civil Designer within an Australian engineering consultancy, with a strong background in land development and civil infrastructure projects.




- Proven ability to deliver detailed civil designs for residential subdivisions, commercial developments, roads, drainage networks and associated infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in 12D Model, AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D, including 3D modelling, detailed design documentation, earthworks modelling and construction drawings.
- Experience designing road alignments, intersections, bulk earthworks, grading, pavement layouts, stormwater drainage and water/sewer infrastructure.
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines, local council requirements and relevant civil engineering design specifications.
- Ability to manage civil design packages from concept through to detailed design, coordinating with engineers, project managers, authorities and other disciplines.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to review designs, identify practical solutions, maintain documentation quality and mentor junior designers or drafters.
