Melbourne Hybrid Permanent An Australian travel technology startup is building AI-powered booking tools that make travel planning faster, smarter and more personalised. They ve secured seed funding and are targeting a Series A in the next six months. This role exists to strengthen the core engineering team as the platform scales, with real ownership over how the product is built.
What you ll be doing:
- Building and owning backend services in Python that power the booking experience
- Shipping features across the stack, with React on the frontend
- Integrating with travel supplier and partner systems so bookings work reliably
- Shaping engineering standards and architecture as the team grows
- Keeping delivery moving through a simple, no-fuss CI/CD process
Must have:
- Robust commercial experience building Python backends
- Experience with React
- Background in corporate travel technology or booking/reservation platforms
- Experience designing and integrating APIs
- Comfortable owning work end to end in a small team
