About the role

As Senior Mobile Engineer - React Native, you will lead the design and delivery of secure, reliable and high-quality mobile features across iOS and Android. Working across the full mobile lifecycle, you will translate business and member needs into maintainable solutions using React Native, TypeScript and supporting native technologies.

This role is important to the continued evolution of CBUS mobile applications and the experiences they provide to members. You will help transition existing native functionality to React Native, strengthen quality, security, accessibility and observability, and support controlled releases and production performance in partnership with Product, Experience Design, Quality Engineering, Architecture, Security, Analytics and Platform Engineering.

Key accountabilities

- Lead the design and delivery of React Native mobile features across iOS and Android, including the staged transition of existing native functionality.
- Build clean, maintainable and well-tested React Native and TypeScript solutions, with Swift or Kotlin modules where required.
- Deliver robust quality engineering through automated testing, cross-device validation, defect investigation and sustainable regression coverage.
- Embed security, privacy, accessibility, analytics and observability throughout development, release and production support.
- Maintain mobile CI/CD and controlled app-store releases,



while collaborating across technical and business teams to improve engineering practices.

What will you bring?

- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on mobile development and 5+ years of commercial React Native experience.
- Advanced capability in React Native, React, TypeScript and JavaScript, plus practical Swift and Kotlin knowledge across iOS and Android.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, OIDC/OAuth 2.0 identity platforms and third-party SDKs within maintainable mobile application architectures.
- Hands-on experience with automated and cross-device testing, mobile CI/CD, code signing, app-store deployment, observability and performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of secure and accessible mobile development, including OWASP MASVS and WCAG, with clear communication in agile delivery teams.
