Role Description The System Engineer role at Eunexus is a full time, hybrid position based in Brisbane, QLD, with flexibility to work from home part of the week.

The System

Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure dedicated cloud and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with industry standards. Daily responsibilities include monitoring systems, diagnosing and resolving incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and applying patches and updates across servers, networks, and security tools. The role also involves providing technical support to internal teams and clients, documenting configurations and procedures,



and contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with colleagues across engineering, security, and operations to deliver reliable, scalable solutions is central to this position.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to assess complex system issues and design effective solutions.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and technical support skills for infrastructure, networks and operating systems (primarily Linux).
- Clear and professional communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Foundational knowledge in Information Technology, including system administration, networking, and security best practices (an absolute must have).
- Experience with high-security or regulated environments (e.g., banking, finance, government) is highly beneficial (but not a hard requirement).
- Proficiency with monitoring tools, incident response processes, and automation/scripting (such as PowerShell, Bash/ZSH, or Python/Go/Rust) is an advantage.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (beneficial but not required).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage priorities, and maintain attention to detail in high-stakes contexts.
