THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and organised Technical Sales Engineer to join the Saunders Automation & Engineering team at our office based in Perth, WA on a permanent full-time basis to join a growing team.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager (Australia West), you will be involved in identifying new opportunities and working closely with our sales team, customers and partners to convert them into successful outcomes for our control systems business and the wider engineering group.

This will include preparation of proposals and quotations including building cost estimates, writing tender schedules and performing technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers.

Following successful appointment, there will be opportunity to take on greater responsibility for external business development activities including direct client engagement and chance development.

The role will also include supporting project delivery across the wider business and actively participate within the team to promote a productive and friendly culture.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE To be successful in the role you will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Essential

- Technical know-how of Electrical Products and Control Systems Solutions
- Relevant experience in a similar industry/environment
- Innovative problem solving and approach to engineering solutions
- Experience in sales support, business development coordination, tender administration,



proposal preparation or a related role.
- The ability to understand technical information and coordinate with subject matter experts and engineers.
- Strong written communication, document preparation and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Desirable

- Tertiary or trade qualification in Engineering
