Role Description The Test Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in North Sydney, NSW. In this role, the Test Specialist will plan and execute test activities across projects, including preparing test cases, running tests, documenting results, and tracking defects through to resolution. The role involves collaborating with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements, identify risks, and ensure that delivered solutions meet quality standards.

The Test

Specialist will contribute to test strategy and test management processes, participate in quality assurance reviews, and support continuous improvement of testing practices and tools.



This position also requires maintaining explicit documentation, reporting test progress, and helping to refine processes that improve product reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Testing and Test Execution, with experience designing and running functional, regression, and integration tests.
- Ability to develop and implement Test Strategy and contribute to structured Test Management activities across multiple initiatives.
- Background in Quality Assurance, including defect tracking, root cause analysis, and adherence to established QA standards.
- Relevant experience with test management tools, issue tracking systems, and basic test automation concepts.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in agile or iterative development environments, and familiarity with software development lifecycles, is beneficial.
